QGIS Manual

Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are an integral resource to archaeologists, allowing them to investigate and visualise their data on a landscape, and small site scale.  This manual will introduce you to using the mapping software QGIS.  It cover themes of importing survey data, using LiDAR, and producing maps.

You can download the manual HERE.

Photogrammetry Manual

Photogrammetry is the ability to produce a digital 3D model from multiple photographs taken of an individual object, structure or landscape.  In archaeology it is increasingly used to record heritage features for both conservation issues, as well as widen public engagement.

You can download the manual HERE.

View examples of 3D models HERE.
